SOC 370 #12 Ecuadorian Tribe VS Oil Company 12-2-2013

I thought of this cases when I thought of the environmental worksheet that we had to do for class. I really interest me that we all feel that we care a lot. I wanted to then bring a large issue to your attention. The Yasuni National Park is in danger and everyday millions of people stand by and watch it go and do not do anything. I believe that each one of us knows that we have a right to do the right thing. We talked about human rights in class yet to me I feel that human rights are not all the same. I feel that at times we push what we think is right on to others without thinking if it is right for them and if they want it. I have to say that I have been asking myself if right is the right word to use.
I think they do have a right but I feel it is too easy for people to say that are not then they have a right to that and its not something they want. They should have the choice to the right I feel is better. At a point I think we have to see what we see as a basic need and a right is not always the same to people. There are many people in the world leaving with less than we do yet we see it as a right for them to have it even if they are happy with the way they are right now. I think in the case of the Yasuni National Park we have to be careful with the people that this is affecting and we are trying to help. What we think is right for them is not what they want and that is giving them a bad view of us and the way view the world.
