I was really interested in the shoes worksheet we did. For me it kinda upset me and the view I have of myself. I would really like to think of myself as a very global and well rounded person that knows a lot about the world. Yet, I have very little understanding of the smaller parts of it and how they help me live my everyday life. That most of the things that I use everyday that I take for granted I have no idea how they are made or where they come from. Most times I feel that I forget to be thankful that I even have them. I mean what if a world disaster takes place and the merchandise that I use from where was hit I can no longer get. What if no one can get it and the global ties that string the world together start to come undone. Most of use do not see them we would never really notice what was taking place tell it was too late to do anything. I know that I would not notice in time. I would be like 'oh I am really upset that corn cost' so much but I don't think it really hits me how much that affects not only me but also people around the world that I never seem to think would use it.It was odd to see how diffrent we all see things in calss about globaly connections. For me it is really interesting to see how everyone sees things in a different way but we come to agree on a view that has both views in it partly. The view I posted with my post from youtube is called "Is your red the same as my red?" It really made me think of how we all view globalization and even though a lot of the ideas overlap a lot of them are different but we use them all together to form a big picture.
